Taken during the reconstruction of the eighteenth century appearance. This room was also known as the Billiard Room or Summer Dining room. The original caption notes the picture shows: 'false door opening with reinforced concrete column cast in situ to suppot new steel beam under Saloon floor. The wall at this point consists of loose fill to a previous fireplace one sloping side of which is visible to left of column. New Ionic columns are placed in their final position'
