Ickwell Bury, Ickwell Green, Northill, Bedfordshire
Ickwell Bury Manor, having been owned by the Priory of St John of Jerusalem, was granted in 1543 to John Barnardiston, in whose family it remained until it was sold to John Harvey in 1680. The Harveys owned the estate until 1924, but from 1903 the house was occupied as a preparatory school. It burnt down in 1937. This photograph shows the interior of the dining room in 1898.
