Visit Grant-Aided Places

We provide grants to help conserve historic places throughout England. These include listed buildings, scheduled monuments and designed landscapes. Many grant-aided places open to the public as a condition of their grant.

The extent of public access varies from one property to another. Some are open throughout the year, some on certain days only, and others provide public access only by prior arrangement. In some cases access may be limited to certain parts of the building or site.

The Priory Church is open daily from 10.00 am to 1600 hours. By arrangement, there are overnight stays for pilgrims using the Cornish Celtic Way. There are to date some 20 events planned for 2024 some of which are evening events.

St Leonard's is open on a Sunday for services at 8am, 10am and 4.30pm for evensong (1st and 3rd Sunday), Taize (2ndSunday) and a new worship group run by our Pulse group of young people (4th Sunday). The church is open every day for some time: There is a midday Eucharist on a Wednesday. It is also open Monday to Friday 12-2pm for prayer.
